Responsibilities:

  • Administer compensation, benefits, performance management systems, safety, and wellness programs.
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.
  • Forecast and allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel skills/experience and workload balance.
  • Manage difficult people issues, including dealing with understaffing, conflict resolution, terminations, and performance discussions
  • Advise and coach managers on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives and positively influence retention.
  • Develop or administer special projects in areas such as employee awards, recognition, employee wellness, succession planning, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of HR experience required; law firm experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Desired: HR Certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) DEI Certification
  • System Knowledge Desired: Employee Navigator (Benefits), Paylocity (Payroll, ATS, HRIS)
