Kym Hess

As an HR Consultant at HR Collaborative, Kym Hess brings over two decades of hands-on experience leading and transforming HR strategies that empower teams and elevate workplace culture. Her expertise spans talent acquisition, compliance, leadership coaching, and organizational development—skills she’s honed across a diverse array of industries and organizational sizes.

Kym’s career has taken her from building HR infrastructures for growing businesses to advising executive teams at nationally recognized firms. At RSI Logistics, she led a full-scale HR transformation that enhanced performance and saved the organization tens of thousands annually. Prior to that, she shaped HR strategy at Yeo & Yeo CPAs, across multiple locations and through M&As. Her deep understanding of the employee experience and strategic planning allows her to meet clients where they are and guide them toward sustainable organizational success.

Kym is passionate about making work better—for leaders, employees, and communities. She’s the Director of Volunteers for Michigan HR Day and serves on the boards of the Greater Lansing SHRM chapter and the Lansing Art Gallery. Whether she’s leading a culture initiative or mentoring the next generation of HR professionals, Kym brings optimism, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others succeed.
