Our client, Biewer Lumber, is looking for a full time, direct hire HR Administrator for their Saw Mill located in Prentice, Wisconsin. 40 hours a week, Monday- Friday, fully onsite. This position will coordinate and assist with human resources functions by administering company policies and procedures, safety policies, maintaining good employee relations, recruiting and staffing, and other day-to-day human resources responsibilities. Relocation assistance is available.

Essential Responsibilites

  • Assisting supervisors with shift starts to ensure staffing and safety are in alignment as employees arrive
  • Facilitate training and development programs
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and support/ administer safety plans and programs
  • Staffing and hiring initiatives
  • Onboarding and benefits enrollment
  • Employee relations
  • Serve as a guide for company policies and human resource procedures
  • Ensuring employer compliance with state and federal employment laws (OSHA, FMLA, ADA and EEOC)
  • Performance management and disciplinary/ corrective actions
  • Maintaining employee documentations and files
  • Manage internal communications, postings, digital signage, etc.
  • Create a safety culture and engagement of employees to support safety goals
  • Process/ monitor Workers comp, Unemployment Claims, and disability claims
  • Payroll processing and timekeeping
  • Collaborate and provide ideas/ suggestions for continuous improvement and opportunities
