Michigan Humanities | Lansing, MI

Michigan Humanities is Michigan’s state humanities council. Established with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities in 1974, they are one of 56 independent councils working to infuse the humanities directly and meaningfully into public life.

Located in Okemos, Michigan Humanities is a separate 501(c)(3) organization that works with nonprofit cultural and educational institutions across the state: universities and colleges, public libraries, museums, and k-12 schools, as well as state and federal government agencies.  Michigan Humanities promotes values and respects diversity.

Michigan Humanities is looking for a President & Chief Executive Officer who is a dynamic, inclusive, collaborative, visionary, and entrepreneurial leader to build upon its substantial record of achievements by implementing new strategies and continuing to expand access to the humanities for all Michigan residents for generations to come.
